DHCS Releases Revised CalAIM Proposal and Launches CalAIM Managed Long-Term Services and Supports (MLTSS) and Duals Integration Workgroup

This month, the Department of Health Care Services (DHCS) released a revised California Advancing and Innovating Medi-Cal (CalAIM) proposal in conjunction with the Governor’s budget release. DHCS will hold a webinar to formally introduce the revised CalAIM proposal on January 28th from 2:00 to 3:00 p.m. Complete details including webinar registration information are available here.

In addition, DHCS is establishing a CalAIM Managed Long-Term Services and Supports (MLTSS) Duals Integration Workgroup. The goal of the workgroup is to collaborate with stakeholders on the transition of Cal MediConnect (CMC) to a statewide MLTSS and Dual Eligible Special Needs Plan (D-SNP) aligned enrollment structure. Members of the CalAIM MLTSS and Duals Integration workgroup will provide feedback and share information about policy, operations, and strategy for the Department’s transition plan for dual eligibles within the CalAIM initiative.

CalAIM MLTSS and Duals Integration Workgroup First Meeting

The first workgroup meeting will take place on Thursday, February 4th from 10:00 a.m. to 12:00 p.m. Initial workgroup discussions will focus on policies and operations to transition Cal MediConnect members to aligned D-SNP/Medi-Cal managed care enrollment.  The workgroup is open to the public. Please click on this link to register for the event.

I’m in Cal Duals. When do they plan on transitioning us into this program. This year, or 2022 or 2023?
