The Department of Health Care Services (DHCS) submitted to the Legislature a final version of the Coordinated Care Initiative (CCI) Transition Plan.
The final transition plan takes into account more than 160 pages of comments from 44 organizations and individuals. These comments are posted here along with the final version, a red-line version that shows the changes to the draft document, and a memo summarizing pending policy issues.
This transition plan was developed with the State Department of Social Services, Department of Aging, and Department of Managed Health Care. It describes the following:
- How access and quality of service shall be maintained during and after implementation of the CCI.
- Operational steps, timelines, and key milestones for determining when and how core beneficiary protections will be implemented.
- The process for addressing consumer complaints, including how the various roles and responsibilities of the departments and health plans will be coordinated.
- How stakeholders have been included in the planning process and will be included throughout the transition.
