Independent Living Centers (ILCs) provide education and support for persons with disabilities to ensure that they have access to services and benefits, including Medi-Cal.
This positions ILCs to assist with beneficiary outreach and resolve questions that they will receive from consumers. My question is, what materials will they have from the state to assist in educating beneficiaries?
Will there be any training or webinars regarding the enrollment and appeals processes for community groups?
Jennifer, The ILCs are definitely an important resource to reach beneficiaries. The state’s Demonstration Proposal recognizes this and mentions them as an important community group to coordinate with for an outreach and education campaign. The details of that campaign are still being worked out but your suggested for training/webinars for the system change coordinators at the ILCs is great. Thanks for contributing.
