On March 19, 2014, the Centers for Medicare and Medicaid Services (CMS) approved an amendment to California’s section 1115 Waiver (Bridge to Reform) which authorizes the Department of Health Care Services (DHCS) to begin coverage under Coordinated Care Initiative (CCI), no sooner than April 1, 2014. The CCI is authorized in the following eight counties: Alameda, Los Angeles, Orange, Riverside, San Bernardino, San Diego, San Mateo, and Santa Clara.
